Description

Macau * 1884 – Crown. Envelope sent from Macau (25.08.86) to S.
Francisco / USA, transit in Hong Kong (??.08.86), with two 40 réis
stamps, blue, smooth paper, perforation 12 ¾, MF5, totalling 80
réis, to pay the first rate of a letter to UPU countries, weighing
up to 15g, in accordance with the table of rates of the Provincial
Ordinance No. 11, published in the Supplement to the Official
Gazette of Macau no. 8 of February 27, 1884. Letter and stamps
without damages or repairs, with good colour and with DOUBLE
IMPRESSION ON THE FIRST STAMP. Very fine and scarce. Expert
certificate from J. Miranda da Mota.

Macau * 1884 – Coroa. Sobrescrito circulado de Macau (25.08.86) para S. Francisco / EUA, com trânsito por Hong Kong (??.08.86), com dois selos de 40 réis, azul-escuro, papel liso, denteado 12 ¾, MF5, no total de 80 réis, para pagar o primeiro porte de uma carta para países pertencentes à UPU com peso até 15g, de acordo com a tabela de portes da Portaria Provincial n.º 11, publicada no Suplemento do Boletim Oficial de Macau n.º 8 de 27 de Fevereiro 1884. Exemplares sem defeitos nem reparações, com boa cor e com DUPLA IMPRESSÃO DO QUADRO NO PRIMEIRO SELO. Certificado de peritagem de J. Miranda da Mota. MB e MR.
