Black, CL, good to wide margins, black MC, very fine; LETTER: 1d. black, plate 4, SC, variety: 're-entry', Mi. Cat.-No. 1bDP, Stanley Gibbons No. 2 (S.G. Spec. AS23a), tied by red Maltese Cross to entire letter bearing red 'CULLOMPTON AU.27 1840' dispatch datestamp on front, addressed to Bampton near Tiverton, photo certificate Karl-Albert Louis BPP.
