Description

King George VI. An extensive and valuable collection of unused stamps housed in 30 luxury SG ‘Crown’ hingeless albums (with matching slipcases) covering the issues of Great Britain, the Dominions, and Crown Colonies (no Indian Convention & Feudatory States or Japanese Occupation issues). Alongside the originally supplied pre-printed pages each album also contains numerous additional pages on which are mounted various shades, different printings, multiples (including some plate and imprint blocks), minor varieties and the odd item of postal stationery. Noted Aden 1937 Dhow set, Bahrain 1938-41 set, Burma 1937 postage and official sets, Cyprus 1938-51 1pi perf 13½x12½, Hong Kong 1938-52 set, India 1937-40 set and 1948 Gandhi set, Straits Settlements 1938 $25 postal fiscal, Malaya BMA unissued 8c grey, Kelantan 1937-40 set, Trengganu 1938 $5, New Guinea 1939 set, New Zealand 1939-40 35s on 35s and 1940-58 £3.10s, North Borneo 1939 set, amongst much else. Also two small card index boxes containing duplicated odds on stockcards. Condition is very mixed but close inspection is sure to reward; an outstanding opportunity for collector and dealer alike.
