1900, Congo Free State, gun license, form type C, it was only given to black "capita" (superior black native man of a private company), granted on November 16, 1900 in Kinshasa, to a Capita of the "Compagnie du Lomani" in Bena-Makima, district of Stanley Falls for a "fusil à piston" (=piston shotgun) with flag administrative "flag" cachet "DISTRICT DU STANLEY-POOL" in blue, paid with (2x) 10fr green - Mols 1898 issue perforation 14 1/4 and signed by the public officer, used as revenue stamps, the form was overprinted in red for a transfer to another place "Yanga" and for the same company, with pen note "fusil manquant à l'intendance - Karleel - 1er mai 1902" (Missing rifle from the quartermaster's office - Karleel - May 1, 1902), folded as usual, remarkable state of conservation, one of the most beautifull, great rarity of Congo Free State, with Lindekens certificate, very fine
