Description

1850-51 Sydney Views Plate II (Clouds) on Hard Greyish Paper 1d dull carmine SG 11, margins close to large, exceptional early impression & strong colour, unused, Cat £17,000. Superb! Ex Baron de Ferrary, Robert Odenweller (acquired in a mixed lot at a Harmers NY auction) & "Manwood". Sold at the Prestige auction of 8.11.2013 for $26,795. RPSofL Certificate (2013). [This is one of the finest unused Penny Sydney Views in private hands, and it was Dale Forster's favourite stamp in his collection.
