  • ScottC54-C61
Description

Mexico. Post-Classic and Semi-Modern Issues. 1934 "Pro-Universidad" Airmail 20c. to 20p., complete set of eight specimens in unmounted full sheets of 30, all with "muestra" perfin. Each sheet displays two stamps in the corners cancelled by a "Secretaría de Hacienda - Inspección Fiscal" cachet in blue, numbered at the top and with "prueba muestra a.e.a.l." imprint, in post-office freshness. Most sheets feature portions where the gum was not applied, which does not affect their preservation and is mentioned for accuracy. A spectacular and unique set, one of the greatest rarities of Mexican semi-modern philately. Scott C54-C61 (spec.), $142,500 as n.h. singles without the specimen perfin., (Estimate £30000 - £40000)
