misfolded originally showing the "postage" panel at top with
Britannia cancelled twice (originally once each side of the cover)
in a crisp orange-red Maltese Cross, with a superb strike of London
"PD" datestamp clearly dated "my 7/1840" and a superb strike of
"T.P./S.O.Islington", manuscript on the reverse, "Not known as
directed in St Pauls Church yd"; there is a reinforced central
folding crease with minor discolouration. A stunning and highly

Cross datestamp on the reverse, superb framed missent/to/edinburgh
and additional "½" handstamp on the front. A delightful pair of

be the only example of this experimental cancellation on a Mulready
