W.G.GRACE: Large photograph of Grace batting by Hawkins & Compy of Brighton, with caption 'Mr.W.G.Grace. Photographed with the Bat with which he made over 1,000 runs in May 1895. Mr Grace also used this Bat when he completed his One Hundredth Century also in May 1895', signed at lower right "W.G.Grace 1895", size overall 28x39cm. Some age toning to photograph and mount, otherwise good condition. Together with book 'W.G.' by Robert Low [London, 1997]. [W.G.Grace is considered cricket's greatest ever player. In 1895, at 46 years old, he had a remarkable year and was the sole recipient of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year award, the first of only three times that Wisden restricted the award to a single player, there being normally five recipients]
