3 Kr. a. gelb,hervorragend breitrandig (links Nebenmarke) auf frischem Firmenbrief mit vorbildlich klarem blauem L2 AALEN 14.OCT.1851 nach Neuburg/Donau (Bayern), rs. bayer. Segmentstempel NOERDLINGEN 15.10. und NEUBURG A./D. vom 16.10.(1851), es handelt sich hierbei um den großartigsten aller bekannten Ersttags- und Vorersttagsbriefe, eine Fata Morgana, bisher unbekannt, einer der wertvollsten Briefe der Kreuzerzeit und ein Schlüsselstück für die Württemberg-Philatelie von unschätzbarem Wert.
Der Brief zeichnet sich zudem durch etliche Besonderheiten aus: er hat vollen Inhalt des Kön. Hüttenamtes Oberkochen vom 13.10.1851 und trägt vorderseitg bereits einen "Franco"-Vermerk, d.h. die neuartigen "Freimarken" lagen dem Hüttenamt bereits mindestens zwei Tage vor dem offiziellen Erscheinen der Marken vor. Der Brief ist ins Ausland gerichtet und trägt wunderbar aufgesetzte Stempel (im Attest wird der guten Ordnung halber ein minimaler natürlicher Stempeldurchschlag erwähnt, der mit bloßem Auge nicht sichtbar ist und der u.E. keinen Mangel darstellt).
Das Auftauchen dieses Vorersttagsbriefes aus einem Mittelzentrum ist sensationell (Aalen erhielt beispielsweise keine 70-Kreuzer-Marken, und die wenigen anderen bekannten Briefe stammen aus den Großstädten Heilbronn und Stuttgart). Besonders bemerkenswert ist auch der Umstand, dass der Brief den Stempel des ersten Postorts Württembergs im Alphabet trägt.
