On all lots sold a commission of 15% on the hammer price is payable by the buyer. If the purchase price has not been paid within the time limit, nor lots taken up within seven days from date of sale they may be resold and any loss arising from such sale will be charged to the defaulter. Any account more than thirty days in arrears is subject to a late payment charge of 2% per month so long as the account remains in arrears. If the auctioneer, in his discretion, should institute any action to secure payment of a delinquent account the defaulting purchaser shall pay all expenses incurred by the auctioneer and such charges will be added to the amount owed.

Description

1908 2c carmine, vertical coil pair, l.h., bottom stamp centered to top, pencil signed G.B. Sloane, top stamp well centered, beautiful color, fine-v.f., with 1985 and 2019 Philatelic Foundation Certificates. The 321 coil pair is one of the premier rarities of United States Philately (if not all of Philately in general) with only five pairs known (including one in the Miller Collection at the New York Public Library, which is currently on loan at the Smithsonian), and one with rejoined perforations; missing from virtually all advanced collections, most recent realizations include $325,000 excluding Buyer's premium (Shreve's, Brody Collection, 2002) (Catalog value $450,000)
