On all lots sold a commission of 15% on the hammer price is payable by the buyer. If the purchase price has not been paid within the time limit, nor lots taken up within seven days from date of sale they may be resold and any loss arising from such sale will be charged to the defaulter. Any account more than thirty days in arrears is subject to a late payment charge of 2% per month so long as the account remains in arrears. If the auctioneer, in his discretion, should institute any action to secure payment of a delinquent account the defaulting purchaser shall pay all expenses incurred by the auctioneer and such charges will be added to the amount owed.

Description

1908 1c blue green, vertical coil, unused with original gum, h.r., centered to bottom, top stamp nicely centered, bottom stamp with a tiny corner crease at bottom left, otherwise a fine and rare Coil Pair, with 1957 (clear) and 2019 Philatelic Foundation Certificates. It is unknown how many of these stamps were issued. According to the Siegel Census, there are nine pairs (this being 316-OG-PR06), three line pairs and a single. A major 20th Century Philatelic Rarity. This particular pair has not been seen in over 50 years, ex-Caroline Prentiss Cromwell (1957 sale) (Catalog value $335,000)
