This auction commences with a small select group of Crowned Circle covers and then offers to buyers a wonderful array of the beautiful Chalon Head issues which were issued from 1855 to 1873
From printings made in London by Perkins Bacon there are 4d. and 1/- die proofs, a range of plate proofs and some of the issued stamps with an unused 1/- and the earliest recorded 1/- bisect cover when 6d. postage was required to the UK
The 1861 Ormond Hill Cancelled stamps are represented by a set of three and a 1/- reconstructed pair. The 1855-58 issue printed in Auckland also has a 1/- bisect cover. Later issues abound and include rare perforation varieties and some covers. The sale concludes with an attractive selection of Pictorial issue and 1d. Universal proofs and stamps and a few lots from Antarctic Expeditions in 1908 and 1911-13

In addition to the Hammer Price, the Buyer must pay the Buyer's premium at a rate of 20% of the final Hammer Price.

For Lots marked with (x) VAT is chargeable on the Hammer price at the reduced rate (currently 5%) and on the Buyer's Premium at standard rate (currently 20%).
VAT on Margin scheme lots (identified by the absence of any VAT symbol next to the lot number) is payable at 20% on the Buyer’s premium only.
