Lots are computer awarded to the highest bidder at 10% over the second highest bid. This means that you will not necessarily pay your full bid for a lot. In the case where yours is the only bid on a lot, we'll sell it to you for the START price. In the case of a tie, the first bid received will take the lot.

Examination of goods
You are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which you are interested, before the auction closing time. Condition reports are available on request. We provide no guarantee to you other than in relation to Forgeries.
Statements by us in the catalogue or condition report, or made orally or in writing elsewhere, regarding the authorship, origin, date, age, size, medium, attribution, genuineness, provenance, condition or estimated selling price of any Lot are merely statements of opinion, and are not to be relied on as statements of definitive fact. Catalogue illustrations are for guidance only, and should not be relied on either to determine the tone or colour of any item or to reveal imperfections. Photocopies and larger scan image are availabel upon request.
You are responsible for satisfying yourself as to the condition of the goods and the matters referred to in the catalogue description
Certificate of Authenticity
Notice of a request for an expert opinion or Certificate of Authenticity must give the reason why such opinion is required and specify the identity of your proposed expert which will be subject to agreement by us. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to refuse a request for an expert opinion or Certificate of Authenticity including (without limitation) where the proposed expert is not known to us. If we accept a request for an expert opinion or Certificate of Authenticity we will submit the Lot to the Expert Committee. You acknowledge and accept that the length of time taken by an Expert Committee to reach an opinion will vary depending on the circumstances and in any event is beyond our control.
Packing and handling
We shall use all reasonable endeavours to take care when handling and packing a purchased Lot but remind you that after seven days or from the time of collection, whichever is sooner, the Lot is entirely at your risk. It is the responsibility of the Buyer to be aware of any Import Duties that may be incurred upon importation to the final destination. Romano will not accept responsibility for Lot(s) seized or destroyed by Customs and Post. Postage charges will be added to invoices. All lots are professionally packaged, for smaller lots the estimate is $7
BUYER'S PREMIUM - The Auctioneer revives from the Purchaser a commission of 20% of the sales price, as well as 2$ for each lot. Israel residents only will be subject to an 18% VAT tax.
PAYMENT METHODS - Successful bidders will be notified of lots allocated to them and must remit Payment before lots are sent. Buyers known to us may have lots forwarded immediately. Payment must be made within ten days after receipt of notification.
We accept the following payment methods: -
- Credit cards - Visa, MasterCard, JCB and Diners Club this method shall be liable to a surcharge equivalent to the percentage charged by the credit card company of 4%. +$5
- cheques - must include an extra $5 for bank charges, (these cheques must be sent for clearance and this process can take over 2 weeks. Goods will not be released until the cheque has cleared).

Interest at the rate of 2% per month or part thereof shall be payable by the purchaser on any overdue account, but RM shall have discretion to waive payment of such interest by notice in writing.
POSTAGE- postage charges will be added to invoices. Lots will be usually mailed by Registered Airmail unless otherwise requested. We must ask all customers who use a P.O. Box for their mailing address to include a UPS address for our files when shipment of larger lots becomes necessary.
Shipping fees will be charged according to the following table. All lots are professionally packaged. These shipping fees are Estimates based on small lots. Shipping fees will be adjusted for heavier orders. In order to expedite your shipment, postage is calculated based on the estimated weight of your order. Actual postage used may be slightly more or less. Please Note: We use a sturdy cardboard mailer for ALL our shipments regardless of value. These mailers weigh 2 oz.BIDDING INCREMENTS
RETURNS - All lots are genuine as described. Any lot, which is incorrectly described, may be returned within 10 days of receipt and must be returned in the same condition as was originally sent. We will refund these lots completely including return postage.
- An item with faults, which is described as such, cannot be returned for any faulty condition.
- Covers, Postal History, Documents & Ephemera may include minor faults from postal transmission and/or reception. Minor file folds, ageing, edge faults, light wrinkling or back flap damage are NOT grounds for return. Serious or unusual faults are described.
- Stamps whose primary value is based upon the cancellation or postal marking may have small faults that will NOT be noted in the description and are NOT grounds for return.
- Lots which contain more then 8 items are not returnable.
- Lots marked with AS IS after the description are SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS.

Der Verein übernimmt keine Verantwortung für das Handeln seiner Mitglieder.
