Heimatgeschichte LINDAU, LUDWIG KICK Ingenieur und Stifter

Ludwig Kick (* 29. März 1857 in Lindau, + 4. August 1947 in
Zürich[1]) war ein deutscher Ingenieur und Stifter.
Ludwig Kick besuchte die Technische Universität München und
er heiratete Lydia Zippel (+ 1949).
Der Ingenieur lebte in Lindau am Bodensee. Er brachte das
'Haus zum Cavazzen', das nach dem großen Stadtbrand 1728
nach den Plänen des Schweizer Architekten Jakob Grubermann
gebaut worden war, in seinen Besitz.
Später vermachte er es der Stadt Lindau als 'Ludwig und
Lydia Kick'sche Familienstiftung' mit dem Ziel, dem
Heimatmuseum eine neue Heimat zu geben. Die Eröffnung des
neuen Lindauer Heimatmuseums fand in Anwesenheit zahlreicher
Ehrengäste am 19. Juli 1930 statt. Auf dem alten Friedhof in
Aeschach befindet sich ein Ehrengrab der Familie Kick.
