1870 (March 11): Outer letter sheet from Dardanelli sent underpaid to Genoa with 1867 2 soldi chrome yellow strip of five and uncancelled 10 s. blue tied by 'In Den Dardanellen' datestamps in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 4), struck with 'Aff. Insuff.' in black (underpaid 12 soldi-see May 2004 Anton Jerger sale at Corinphila, lot 778) and taxed on arrival with Italy 1870 Postage Due 30 c. orange brown & carmine tied by Genova cds (March 19).
